Welcome to jealousiner blog: Rivers Police arrests two suspected robbers

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspected armed robbers along Cherubim Road in GRA, Port Harcourt.The Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Muhammad gave the identities of the suspects as 27-year-old Gabriel Samuel and 31-year-old Wokeko Samuel.
The Police spokesman said the suspects were arrested following a distress call to the police over an incident of car snatching at gun point at Rumuigbo area of Port Harcourt in the early hours of Tuesday.
He said two locally made revolver pistols and two rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
According to a statement obtained by DAILY POST, the suspects confessed during interrogation to be members of a four-man armed robbery gang that operated around Ada George, Eagle Island and Rumuola axis of Port Harcourt.
In another development, gunmen have kidnapped a man identified as Godspower Nyenke at Isiokpo town in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
DAILY POST gathered that Nyenke was abducted from his shop alongside his apprentice, who managed to escape.
A member of the family of the victim, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent, said the kidnappers who escaped through the forest between Isiokpo and Obelle, were demanding N10 million ransom.
